OUR VISION

Spring Creek Baptist Church’s ministry is founded on biblical principles as demonstrated by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ.

We are passionate about justice and truth as we endeavor to help people understand who Jesus is, as they move forward in their life’s journey. We serve in the spirit of excellence with integrity and compassion for our community, nation, and world.

We intentionally seek to partner with people who are suffering and to meet them at their point of need. We will be forever guided by the demonstration of unconditional love as we minister and serve with the utmost dignity and respect. We will not waver from this goal.

OUR CORE VALUES

• Biblical Instruction: We believe that the scriptures are God’s inspired Word written by men, and that they are the final authority in faith and life.  (Proverbs 1:5-7; 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

• Cooperation: We believe that cooperating in service to and for our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ in construction of his Kingdom is one of the most powerful witnesses to our salvation and His work in our lives.  (Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 4:1-6; Philippians 2:2)

• Mission and Service: Mission, we believe is the work of the Triune God (Creator, Redeemer, Sanctifier). We believe that the church is missional, and without missional engagement, the church ceases to exist as the church of Jesus the Christ. (Isaiah 1:17; Isaiah 58:6-14; Acts 1:8)

• Worship: We believe that worship is how we express our love, honor, and praise for who God is in Spirit and truth. We believe that through worship, we draw closer to God’s presence. (Psalm 95:6; Psalm 100; John 4:23-24)
• Prayer: We believe that prayer is a conversation with God in which believers learn God’s will for their lives and find God’s peace in all stages and situations of their lives.  (Jeremiah 33:3; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Philippians 4:6-7; Mark 11:24; 1 John 5:14)

• Obedience: We believe that being disciples of Jesus the Christ and servant leaders demonstrates our obedience. (Matthew 16:24-26; John 13:12-17; Philippians 2:1-8)

• Giving: We believe mature believers should freely give in three ways: the first fruits of their resources (the tithe), a quality number of hours to benefit the church’s ministries (time), and their God-given abilities to strengthen the church’s ministries (talents).  (Malachi 3:8-10; Luke 6:38; Acts 4:32-37; 1 Peter 4:10)
